Immaculate PolitiGrid is a self-initiated product experiment that turns US political history into a compact daily trivia grid. The goal is to combine trustworthy public data, clear game mechanics, and a brand that can stand apart from my personal portfolio site.
The project began as a static-data prototype and has grown into a database-backed application with daily and custom puzzles, accounts, saved results, sharing, archives, accessibility preferences, and account security. That evolution let me test the game quickly before investing in the systems needed for sustained use.

What I'm Building
Game Experience
The core three-by-three grid asks for a politician who matches each row and column pair. Categories cover office held, party, state ties, era, and biographical facts. Daily puzzles create a shared challenge, while custom puzzles and saved results support repeat play.
Architecture Evolution
The first version used Python-generated JSON so I could validate the rules and data model on simple hosting. The current application uses MySQL for accounts, results, security data, puzzles, politicians, and categories, with a separate content-database option for safer editorial workflows. Source identifiers remain attached to political data so entries can be reviewed and corrected.
Design System & Accessibility
PolitiGrid has its own responsive application shell, original wordmarks, and selectable modern and editorial themes. Keyboard interaction, visible state changes, account recovery, and secure sign-in are treated as product requirements rather than additions after launch.
